Dr Doreen Hsu

Dr. Doreen Hsu graduated from Doctor of Dental Medicine at The University of Sydney. She has always had a passion for healthcare. As a dentist, she currently
works in both metropolitan Sydney and Central Coast. Prior to becoming a dentist, Doreen was an Oral Health Therapist with extensive experience in rural N.S.W public hospitals. Even now, her experience in rural Australia is one of the most memorable times of her life. She had provided treatments under various challenging and limiting situations involving highly anxious patients and children. It is no surprise that Doreen has developed a special interest in preventative and paediatric dentistry.

One of the most proud achievements for Doreen was being part of the ‘Dalang
Project – Oral Health Promotion and obesity prevention pilot program’ run by the POCHE centre. She provided self-developed oral health promotional programs and dental screenings to schools, playgroups and community events within the region. She is a firm believer in the importance of education to achieve long-term maintenance of oral health. Doreen is now currently undergoing training in Orthodontics to further her scope.

Outside of dentistry, Doreen is an enthusiast of history and art, frequently visiting museums and exhibitions during her spare time. She also loves traveling; aiming to visit a new destination each year.
